A Great Yoga Sage Passes On - A Reflection about Yogi Bhajan

by Karla Becker (Sat Bachan Kaur)

The Siri Singh Sahib - 1991

We practice yoga and are oftentimes not cognizant of the great sages who brought the teachings to us from India.  I think it is important for us as yoga students to pause and reflect when one of our great yoga sages passes on to the celestial realms.  Reflecting on questions such as “What did this person bring into my life? and “How am I a better person because of this master?” can bring a renewed sense of our own life purpose.  On October 6, the yoga sage, Yogi Bhajan, passed on at age 75.  Since that time, I have been reflecting, writing, and sharing with others about his impact on my life and also of the yoga masters who went before him.
